🟢 Stage 1: Apartment – Jesenice – Javornik (9 km)
The tour starts right from the apartment, following a well-maintained cycling path to Jesenice. From there, you turn onto quieter local roads heading toward Javornik. This section is easy, perfect for warming up, and offers beautiful views of the Karavanke mountains.
🔺 Stage 2: Ascent to Javorniški Rovt (4 km)
From Javornik, the road gradually climbs through the forest to the picturesque mountain settlement of Javorniški Rovt.
🌿 Stop: Dom Pristava
Under mighty trees, you’ll find the mountain lodge Dom Pristava, famous for its excellent homemade food such as stews, štruklji (rolled dumplings), and apple strudel. Enjoy a rest and lunch in the shade, then take a walk along the educational trail that showcases the local plants, animals, and history. The surroundings are a peaceful green oasis, ideal for children and families.
⛰️ Stage 3: Javorniški Rovt – Križovec – Savske jame (7 km)
After a short break, continue cycling along forest roads and gravel paths to Križovec, where breathtaking views of the valley and surrounding peaks open up. Then ride past the Savske Caves, a natural area featuring karst phenomena, coolness, and tranquility.

In Mojstrana, we recommend a lunch break at the cozy Gostilna Pr’ Pristavc, known for its delicious homemade dishes – stews, traditional dumplings (štruklji), trout, or buckwheat mash with sauerkraut. The garden with mountain views is a perfect spot to relax. Reservations are advised.
🌲 Stage 2: Radovna Valley – A Natural Paradise
From Mojstrana, continue through forested paths and along the river into the serene Radovna Valley – one of the most pristine and peaceful valleys in Triglav National Park. The route is gentle, partly gravel, surrounded by pastures, forests, and historic farms.
